ARTIST STATEMENT:
Whilst experimenting with graphite, a medium not used since school, this owl caught my attention and I wanted to capture the the image in pencil. The main picture is done in graphite, but coloured pencil was used to increase the intensity in the owl's eyes. This was so enjoyable that it will the first of many bird and animal works over the next few months.
