An estuary is the meeting place where fresh water creeks, tributaries and rivers merge with the salty ocean. The tides and mangroves continually inhale, then exhale- again and again.
Abstract mangrove roots serve as filters for this intertidal zone. The chilli hot sky is pink. Turtles, nudibranch, sea grasses, fossils, reef, corals, cowries, sea worms and schools of fish.
An estuary is a powerful metaphor for multicultural Australia. Estuaries are dynamic ecosystems where adaptation, diversity and resilience are essential.
