ARTIST STATEMENT:

Spring is seen as a time of renewal; however, falling blossom petals remind me that life is brief and continuously changing, and that we should embrace the moment. For 'One Breath', I experimented with layers of colour and mark-making, using watercolour, crayon, colour pencil, acrylic ink and oil pastel on paper, to capture the fleeting moment between life, death and renewal.
