6013, Peace That Surpasses All Understanding, Katherine Tawse

$1,800.00

ARTWORK ID: 6013

CATEGORY: Portraits (a model release form from the subject must be supplied)

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This self-portrait is a meditation and a prayer-where pain does not vanish, but is transfigured. With eyes gently closed, I turn inward, not to escape the weight of turmoil and suffering, but to carry it differently. A heart ablaze at my core does not consume but sustains, its flames a testament to what has been endured and what still burns quietly beneath the surface.

The ravens surround me like shadowed memories-watchful, unflinching. Above them, a white dove rests; peace, untouched by chaos. In this meeting of dark and light, sorrow and grace, I find a stillness not my own, born of surrender. This is the kind of peace that rises after the storm, a supernatural force that only comes from a supernatural source-the kind that surpasses all understanding.

MEDIUM: Acrylic

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 700mm x 900mm

WEIGHT (approx): 1kg
