6003, The Unfolding of Time, Joel Wilson

$25,000.00

ARTWORK ID: 6003

CATEGORY: Portraits (a model release form from the subject must be supplied)

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This painting is a meditation on legacy, and the quiet grandeur of toddlerhood. Drawing inspiration from the masters of the Renaissance, I sought to capture the essence of something deeper; presence, spirit and place within the great unfolding of time.

The interplay of light and shadow speaks to the duality of innocence and wisdom, the fragile and the eternal.

Yet beyond technique, this work is an act of devotion. It is a quiet testament to the beauty of parenthood, and a reflection of the sacred within the everyday. I hope that the viewer does not simply see a child, but glimpses something universal, the weight of history, the quiet of the present after a long exhausting day of parenting, and the infinite possibilities of the future.

MEDIUM: Oil on Canvas

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 310mm x 410mm

WEIGHT (approx): 1.1kg

ARTIST LOCATION: KARRATHA, WA
