Echoes of Red Earth' reflects on the idea that the journey is what shapes the outcome or destination. The work depicts the winding road rising through the green covers hills toward the lookout over Settlers Beach in Cossack, Western Australia. As the sun sinks behind the viewer, its final rays glaze the Pilbara landscape emphasising tones of red and ochre that lay between the green scrub.
