"Ochre and Aqua" imagines the Butcher Inlet near Cossack. The painting attempts to explore the theme of ochre as a symbol of life and fertility by contrasting the undulations of the rich warm hues of the Pilbara coast landform with the serene cool shades of the sea which meets it.
