Capturing the landscape from the air or a high point, has always been an interesting process for me. Seeing marks, shapes and movement in the landscape from a new perspective is exciting as an artist. The Pilbara area of Western Australia has been a constant in my painting practice, my love for it has not dimmed. The Ashburton River snaking it's way through this ancient land was a pleasure to paint with its rich colours and striking shapes.
