ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am in awe of Karijini National Park. The brilliant colours and spectacular natural landforms inspire my creativity. The only way I wanted to capture the raw beauty of Hamersly Gorge was to paint with a palette knife, layering the paing to capture the texture of the interesting rock formations complemented by the smoothness of the sky and water. Hamersly Gorge draws me in, inviting me to explore all it has to offer, and to capture this natural wonder on canvas enables ongoing enjoyment.
