ARTIST STATEMENT:

Mudflats After Summer Rains' was inspired by my memories of WA station life and aims to capture the essence of a transformed landscape. Contouring linework and the application of hessian bag adds depth and texture, suggesting intricate patterns found in mudflats. Playful paint drips symbolise the remnants of rain.

This abstract work invites the viewer to linger in the beauty of nature's cycle, celebrating the renewal of the sunbaked land.
