Mudflats After Summer Rains' was inspired by my memories of WA station life and aims to capture the essence of a transformed landscape. The dusky pink hues of the pindan soil evoke a warm, serene atmosphere while the earthy browns ground the composition, creating a sense of stability amidst the fluidity of the scene.
Contouring linework and the application of hessian bag adds depth and texture, suggesting intricate patterns found in mudflats. Playful paint drips symbolise the remnants of rain.
