The pink and grey galah known as Bitharndi in Yindjibarndi language.
On a cold dewy morning on Yindjibarndi Country, 3 small fledglings find warmth deep inside the hollow of an old river gum. The tree has stood through many seasons, its trunk shaped by wind, rain, and time. Inside its hollow, the Bitharndi-ngarli tucks in close, feathers fluffed, safe from the chill that moves across the plains before sunrise.
