ARTIST STATEMENT:
I like to evoke mood and emotion in my work.
This painting is the result of compilation of drawings, observations and emotions while I was employed for many years as an art teacher for the ministry of justice. Art is used as a therapy and healing process for the mind and soul.
Here, there are faceless, and sometimes forgotten people, each separately bringing forward refections of distant memories of their worlds outside the walls, that enclose their bodies and souls.
