ARTIST STATEMENT:
Life shifts without warning. One moment everything feels steady, the next it changes completely. This work began with waiting for lilies to bloom, only to realise the moment had already passed. The flowers, marked by bruises and imperfections, reflect that fragility and urgency. Using fast-drying acrylic and reactive charcoal, I worked quickly, allowing unpredictability to shape the outcome. These materials mirror the way life resists control. Despite this, bright pinks and luminous tones hold space for hope and resilience.
