ARTIST STATEMENT:
It is Autumn in Perth, and I have been noticing the changes in the leaves on my street. I enjoy letting fluid paint run over the canvas as my first layer. The first patterns formed by the drying paint create a pattern that I like to carve into with subsequent purposeful glazes of colour, This way I can slowly build up hazy and shadowy effects, that remind me of the leaves gently swaying outside.
