ARTWORK ID: 3056
CATEGORY: Open Theme
ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am a First Nations artist living on Kaneang Country in Greenbushes, Western Australia. My practice uses acrylic and mixed media to create layered compositions shaped by attention to land, memory, and embodied experience. Forest ecologies, feminine presence, and ancestral continuity inform the work, which often invites rotational viewing so forms can emerge and recede.
I trained in Aboriginal Visual Arts at Pundulmarra College in Port Hedland, where the landscape of the Pilbara shaped my early visual language. After early recognition, I stepped back from public exhibition for a decade. My practice has re-emerged with renewed focus and growing recognition.
