ARTIST STATEMENT:
My work often starts with a charcoal drawing from observation of my immediate domestic environment. Paint then added and over drawing part of the process. In this painting although the content is intimist in nature my focus was more to draw line and planes with paint and brush. Along the journey the work moves between paint, colour and further drawing including charcoal whose immediacy I find hard to resist.
