This piece explores grief as a deeply personal and inevitably solitary experience. The central figure, exposed and vulnerable, represents the individual confronting loss and carrying a pain that endures over time.
Surrounding figures reach in with gestures of support, yet their hands, though present, cannot fully ease the emotional weight. This reflects the paradox of grief: being accompanied, yet feeling profoundly alone.
The use of colour suggests different emotional states and stages of the process, while the blurred background reinforces a sense of disconnection and emptiness.
Rooted in personal experience, the work expresses the idea that grief never truly leaves us; it changes form and lingers as a quiet echo throughout life.
