3031, The Forest Joy, Susan Zoethout

$230.00
sold out

ARTWORK ID: 3031

CATEGORY: Open Theme

ARTIST STATEMENT:

In this painting "The Forest Joy" I seek to capture the subtle complexities of the continuous formation of bark. The piece features five tree trunks, each depicted in an abstract style, standing tall and marvellous against a light turquoise background. Each tree trunk is adorned with bark rendered in multiple colours, reflecting the vibrant and diverse hues found in the forested area around me. The abstract approach allows for a deeper exploration of the textures and patterns that define the forest and forever making me curious about the arrangement of bark. Each trunk tells its own story, yet together, they form a never ending display of harmony and joy.

MEDIUM: Acrylic

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 5200mm x 4200mm

WEIGHT (approx): 3kg

ARTIST LOCATION: FORRESTFIELD, WA
