ARTIST STATEMENT:
My paintings are always about landscape. Either an abstraction of the actual place I have visited or a memory of a place that has long remained in my mind. Whether I have made a sketch, taken a photgraph or most likely used a combination of both, the resulting artwork can evoke the location, weather light and experience of that place and time. I try to pass on the experience to the viewer through the artwork and hope the work shares some of its meaning and touches a heart.
