ARTIST STATEMENT:
My current practice is guided by contemplating the recycled, dynamic water content of humans, other life, and the oceans - the birth waters of life on earth. Drawing from my experiences of submersion within and coexisting beside the Indian Ocean, the painting records the sensation of fragmented moments in oil paint. Incised underneath the paint is the location of stars and planets, using SkyMap app, at the time of commencing this artwork.
