3019, Crossing Roebuck Plains After Fire, Mary-Lynne Stratton

$8,000.00

ARTWORK ID: 3019

CATEGORY: Open Theme

ARTIST STATEMENT:

The reds and warm browns and blacks in this painting are a reminder of a scorched and parched landscape on the Roebuck plains after fire has been through which quite often happens, creating a mirage effect you can get when you are crossing these plains. Burnt bushes which remain as charred matter and red, orange and warm brown soil play tricks on your eyes when looking across this landscape and moving through it. I am wanting to give the effect of a vast open plain with a feeling of endless beauty after fire.
