3012, The watchful gaze, Pip Arthur

$4,999.00

ARTWORK ID: 3012

CATEGORY: Open Theme

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I have been able to capture the essence of quiet vigilance through the expressive eyes of a cow. Its face, rendered by using bold, vibrant strokes of blue, yellow, red, and purple swirled together I have been able to form a mesmerizing patchwork across its body. The cow's face, rendered with a blend of realism and abstraction, contrasts against the energetic background, it draws the viewer into its deep, knowing stare. Its large ears extend outward as if attuned to every sound, while its gaze-steady, patient, and ever-watchful-seems to follow you, evoking a sense of presence and quiet wisdom.

The background, a dreamy fusion of soft pastels and textured layers, enhances the cow's striking colors, making it feel both grounded and ethereal. "The Watchful Gaze" is not just a portrait but a story, one of observation, connection, and the silent guardianship of nature.

MEDIUM: Acrylic

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 920mm x 1220mm

WEIGHT (approx): 2kg
