This piece was inspired by the colours and feeling of the Pilbara, where everything seems a bit more intense and alive. It features the Sturt's desert pea, a striking native bloom I've always been drawn to for its bold, sculptural form and deep, rich colour. The reds and earthy tones reflect the landscape I love, while the softer greens bring in a bit of balance. It's a personal response to the Pilbara - raw, warm, and full of life, with beauty in both its strength and its quiet details.
