2014, A Pilbara sunset spring dance, Jodie Thompson

$2,000.00

ARTWORK ID: 2014

CATEGORY: North West Flora and Fauna

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I love the surrounding red country in spring when it comes alive with flowers. I love exploring and experimenting with how they can be represented in the evening earth rotation. Dancing in the light as if no one is watching, while others spread to cover the red dirt and pop their heads up as if to say 'we are watching you'.

Currently I'm focussed on the use of mixed media. How can I paint a landscape, how can I block print a landscape and how can I draw a landscape all in one artwork.

MEDIUM: Mixed media. Atelier interactive acrylic, Lino printing using speedball ink, posca markers

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 500mm x 1000mm

WEIGHT (approx): 1kg

ARTIST LOCATION: TOM PRICE, WA
