2013, Outback Rococo Encounter (turpentine bush), Judy Rogers

$2,000.00

ARTWORK ID: 2013

CATEGORY: North West Flora and Fauna

ARTIST STATEMENT:

The elegant curving shape of this bush reminded me of the ornate decorations found in late Baroque churches from my homeland, which seamlessly integrated religious iconography with natural forms.

The encounter inspired a deep sense of reverence in me.

I looked the plant up and I am relieved it's not on the 'threatened' list.

MEDIUM: Mixed media on board

ARTIST LOCATION: ALEXANDER HEIGHTS, WA
