ARTIST STATEMENT:
My art reflects a moment in time. That fleeting flash of red as a Cockatoo passes and the sun sinks on the horizon.
Pigmented inks were applied to a gesso prepared board, the cockatoo painted then encaustic (beeswax & damar resin) and pigments applied sealing with a heat gun between the many layers bringing texture and form to the painting.
