Join local mural artist Nikita Spires for a fun and energetic Paint & Sip session celebrating one of the Pilbara’s most beautiful and recognisable birds, the pink cockatoo. This vibrant step-by-step acrylic painting class is designed for all skill levels and focuses on creating a colourful wildlife artwork in a relaxed and social atmosphere.

During the session, Nikita will guide participants through the process of painting their own expressive pink cockatoo perched on a gumtree branch beneath a bright blue sky. You will learn how to build the basic bird shape, mix warm feather tones, create soft blends and add loose, lively brushstrokes to capture the character of this stunning local species. The class is broken down into simple stages so everyone can follow along with confidence while still adding their own creative touch.

This Paint & Sip experience is all about letting go, enjoying colour and connecting with nature through art. Expect upbeat energy, plenty of laughs and a welcoming environment where participants can unwind, meet new people and try something new. No previous painting experience is needed, just bring your favourite drink and a willingness to have fun.

All materials are provided, including canvas, paints, brushes and aprons. You’ll leave with a bright, joyful painting inspired by a bird often seen across the Pilbara, a unique creative keepsake of a lively night.
