Art in the Park - Exhibition Opening Day

Join us for the exciting Opening Exhibition Day: Art in the Park, where the public will have the first chance to experience this year's stunning collection of artwork set against the beautiful backdrop of the heritage buildings.

This vibrant celebration of creativity features a local performers showcasing their talents, creating a lively atmosphere for all to enjoy.

As you explore the exhibition, families can take part in an engaging art activities such as Ngarluma Ngurra – Bajinhurrba Workshop run by Melanie from Cora-Larni Enterprise. This interactive workshop will provide children with hands-on creative activities while learning about Ngarluma language, local stories, and the cultural significance of Cossack. As well as a Tea Towel Tie Dye Workshop run by Megan from Pilbara Creative, and a Paint and Yarn with artists from Yinjaa-barni Art Group.

For the little ones, there will be face painting to spark their imaginations, and bouncy castles to keep them entertained throughout the day. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a parent looking for a fun day out, or simply someone wanting to enjoy the arts in a beautiful setting, Art in the Park is the perfect way to kick off this year's exhibition and immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture.

  • Activities include: Ngarluma Language Sharing, Bead Making & Badge Making

  • Tie Dye Tea Towel Workshop by Megan Bartley from Pilbara Creative - Cossack Courtyard

  • Participants will use markers to draw on their tea towels, then use rubbing alcohol to spray their drawing, creating a "tie-dye" effect.
