ARTIST STATEMENT:

Rise Above' is an abstract landscape inspired by foggy mornings in the bush and farmland of the Jane Brook Valley near my home in the Perth Hills. I like to work with charcoal, graphite and pencil, building up monochromatic marks in layers to provide a sense of depth and mystery, hinting at something hidden in the landscape.
