3054, The Pilbara Spiral, Ami Rauch

$375.00

ARTWORK ID: 3054

CATEGORY: Open Theme

ARTIST STATEMENT:

"The Pilbara Spiral"

This piece was inspired by a whirlwind of spiraling colours that danced in my thoughts as I travelled through the Pilbara.

The memories and the people I had met along these lands darted in and out of focus, while the sounds, the smells, the heat and my freedom were felt so clearly.

Through the medium of Gel Printing, these colours took shape and materialized in my prints. I channeled the energy received and embarked on a journey to capture, document and arrange them into this spiral.

What was once invisible, has now been made real, translated through touch, print and feeling, into something others can experience too.

MEDIUM: Gel Print & Collage

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 410mm x 510mm

WEIGHT (approx): 2kg

ARTIST LOCATION: MORPHETT VALE, SA
