2004, Bush Bling (E. kingsmillii), Susan Sheppard

$6,000.00

ARTWORK ID: 2004

CATEGORY: North West Flora and Fauna

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I have always felt at peace, and delighted in discoveries in nature. From early childhood I loved to walk in the bush and still deliberately seek out undisturbed habitat. Our flora is truly unique, fascinating and beauty in abundance.

This work is the sum of an abstract background with realist detail presented in the foreground. The image has allowed me to show the viewer the broad spectrum of colours in the environment, at the same time being in harmonious balance. Filtered light has enabled me as an artist, and the viewer, to explore the luminosity, transluscency, reflections and shadows.

MEDIUM: Oil

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS (width x height): 940mm x 800mm

WEIGHT (approx): 2kg

ARTIST LOCATION: ALFRED COVE, WA
