ARTIST STATEMENT:
I wanted to paint this beautiful preening Galah with a twist. The Eucalyptus flowers worked so well as the bright pink plumage on the birds head. I decided to use the foliage of the Eucalyptus, and the Rose Mallee, as they had that soft silvery grey colouring that worked really well as they grey feathers.
